INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH
 
The student examines key issues in understanding phonics ,  grammar and verbal and nonverbal conversation.  You will analyse the social, geographical and historical variations of language.  You learn about the international phonetic alphabet, the structure of words, the different classes or groups to which words belong and ow they combine in more complex syntactic structures.
